Guild members eagerly signed up to participate in the very successful Art Fair at Memorial Fest, our first come-back show, on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, May 29th, 2021, along Main Street in Menomonee Falls. The weather was perfect, and the view, music and ambiance were spectacular. The Fest Committee sold out all of the 60 vendor spots and the event hosted a very healthy crowd.
Fourteen artists from the Guild set up tents by the gazebo at Mill Pond Plaza stretching northward from the sidewalk. This is several more than we had in our Memorial Fest debut in 2019. This incredible show opportunity is offered free of charge to Guild members and it sure to become a staple in the Guild’s event schedule.
A Guild informational tent opened the path back to the Art Fair spread with AGMF brochures and a Silent Auction featuring the 6″ x 6″ landscapes created by our members as part of this year’s My Interpretation group project. Eight of these generously donated works sold at the Silent Auction that day totaling $400. Proceeds from the sales benefit our annual scholarship fund that matches a talented high school student with an educational art experience.
Members expressed overwhelming feelings of positivity with everyone enjoying the day!
